Clear Example of NFT: Lionel Messi’s Golden Foot

In 2013, a jewelry store in Tokyo made a gold model of Lionel Messi’s left foot worth. The former Barcelona and Argentina striker’s brother was on hand for the unveiling of the then $5.25 million golden foot. Lionel Messi already has an impressive collection of golden balls himself, the Ballon d’Or award for the world’s best player.

But the jewelry store in Japan gave him his own ‘golden foot’ to match. The current PSG and Argentina striker’s pure golden model made from it was then revealed to the public in Tokyo in that year.

The golden foot weighed 25 kilos and it was 25 centimeters tall and 28 centimeters wide.
