Now the team behind that eatery is bringing in rapper and <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/81478\/snoop-dogg-ethereum-nft-whale-cozomo-medici\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NFT enthusiast<\/a> Snoop Dogg to open up its next <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/resources\/non-fungible-tokens-nfts-explained-guide-learn-blockchain\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NFT<\/a>-themed restaurant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro\">Snoop Dogg and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/foodfightersu?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Food Fighters Universe<\/a>\u2014a startup co-founded by Andy Nguyen, Kevin Seo and Phillip Huynh\u2014have announced plans to open Dr. Bombay\u2019s Sweet Exploration, an \u201cimmersive retail dessert experience\u201d that will similarly take root in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro\">Dr. Bombay is the name that Snoop (born Calvin Broadus Jr.) has given his Bored Ape Yacht Club avatar. The Bored Ape Yacht Club is one of the most popular <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/resources\/what-is-ethereum-quickly-explained-four-minute-guide\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ethereum<\/a> NFT collections, spanning 10,000 unique avatars depicting disinterested cartoon apes. The NFTs have collectively generated <a href=\"https:\/\/cryptoslam.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">more than $2.1 billion<\/a> in secondary market trading volume to date.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro\">The Bored Ape Yacht Club, created by startup <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/95706\/bored-ape-cryptopunk-nfts-yuga-labs-450m-4b-valuation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Yuga Labs<\/a>, grants its NFT holders the right to commercialize their owned images. As such, Bored Apes have been used for products ranging from apparel to beer and marijuana packaging, as well as <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/85863\/universal-metaverse-band-bored-ape-yacht-club-nfts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">virtual band projects<\/a> and upcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/decrypt.co\/101283\/seth-green-nft-show-bored-ape-stolen\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">film and TV productions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"font-meta-serif-pro\">In other words, Snoop\u2019s dessert restaurant isn\u2019t an \u201cofficial\u201d Bored Ape restaurant created by Yuga Labs, but the rapper is well within his rights to use his owned NFT image for it.
